Vanderheyden is proud to announce a $30,000 matching grant from the Business for Good Foundation (BFGF) in support of The Vandy Thrift Shoppe, our special needs job training program in downtown Albany.
With matching contributions from Pioneer, Stewart’s Shops, Broadview, and M&T Bank, this gift brings a total of $60,000 to support hands-on workforce training for youth and adults facing mental health challenges, trauma histories, and developmental disabilities.
The Vandy Thrift Shoppe provides real-world employment experience in a supportive environment, helping participants develop transferable skills and build confidence for sustainable careers. This funding ensures Vanderheyden can continue offering these critical opportunities for the next two years.
